Configuring the Notes Client and the Sametime Connect Client

The sametime client can be configured to use either username and password authentication or enterprise SAML / IDP integration

Username and password is suggested when the organization doesn't employ an Identity Provider Infrastructure which let the user perform enterprise single sign on. Username and password allows users to save their password in the Notes or Sametime Connect Client for automatic re-connection-

SAML federated identity logon is suggested for organizations that integrated their own Identity Provider infrastructure with SmartCloud-y. With this configuration the client performs a seamless browser based authentication against the customer Identity provider.
